Mrs. D Van Dellen

This is my first year at CCS. I currently teach grade 7 Religious Studies, ELA, Church History and Science as well as grade 8 ELA and Church History. I also teach grade 5/6 Art and Physical Education.

I was born and raised in Ripon, California and attended Dordt University where I obtained a degree in teaching and a husband, Ed. We have eight adult children, who are scattered across three different time zones. We are not quite empty nesters as two of our sons with disabilities live with us. Prior to coming to CCS, I was a Learning Commons Facilitator at Nicholas Sheran Community School for four years and before that we owned a bakery. I enjoy cooking and baking for a crowd, reading good books, as well as travelling to new places. I also love bicycling and most water sports.

Honestly, all of Psalm 121 is a favourite of mine. It has been (and will continue to be) a source of comfort and peace.
