Ms. J Wielenga

I graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 1998 with a combined Bachelor of Arts /Bachelor of Education degree, after which I launched my teaching career at Coaldale Christian School. In 2003 I relocated to Indonesia, where I lived for the next 16 years.  In 2017, I earned a Master's degree in Education in Curriculum and Instruction.  Since returning to Canada in 2019 ... and to CCS, I have taught grade 5 for two years, and now teach grade 6. In addition to my teaching assignment, I also support Junior and Senior High Special Education needs.

Outside of school, I enjoy outdoorsy things - kayaking down rivers, camping, nature walks, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, road trips ...  I also enjoy indoorsy things - adventures in culinary creation, binge watching favorites, settling in with a good book and beverage, be it coffee, tea or wine.  Although currently on pause, I have loved travelling to many distant shores in Asia, exploring varied cultures, each with unique traditions and exotic cuisines.
